Misery / Extinction of Mankind - Split CD

Misery / Extinction of Mankind - Split CD
Two of the very best of the crustpunk genre. Two bands that escapsulate everything that I love about punk rock. Misery - they've got the extra gruff deep vocals, meandering weaving guitars and continue to throbb their sound with the deepestheavy powerful sound, strong on the bass and thickness and guttural vocals, like a cross between the Amebix and Killing Joke Extinction of Mankind blend together perfectly - thought their sound is quite different. More akin to Nausea - with one (male) singer with a strong english accent. they're a classic awesome curst punk band - metallic and raging with a pummeling doulbe bass drum. these are two of the best bands and this cd rules.

I was thrilled to get this one - cause these are two of my favorite all time bands. Two of the very best of the crustpunk genre. Two bands that escapsulate everything that I love about punk rock. And two bands that I haven't heard a word about of late, nor even heard they wre doing stuff. So I was thrilled and am stoked listening to this cause it rules. What is really unique and potentially problematic with this cd is that they alternate songs - this is cool cause it mixes up the split to a solid flow. But they don't tell you which is which. I know, cause I've been loving and listening to these bands for years - but if you don't know them inside and out - you might not be able to tell and that sucks. the odd songs are Misery - they've got the extra gruff deep vocals, meandering weaving guitars and continue to throbb their sound with the deepestheavy powerful sound, strong on the bass and thickness and guttural vocals, like a cross between the Amebix and Killing oke - with a full body pummeling throbb that is

Driller Killer - The 4Q Mangrenade - CD
The 4Q Mangrenade is Driller Killer's latest album and is consistent with their sound as of late. I found it to be quite reminiscent of Reality Bites and Cold Cheap and Disconnected. At the same time this album pulls away from their sound on the last two albums, taking Swedish hardcore in a new direction. As I've said before, Driller Killer's sound is constantly progressing from album to album. Our Price: US$2.99

Driller Killer - And the Winner Is - CD
13 tracks of devastating Swedish hardcore played with unmatched brutality and experience. Thick metal-edged guitars backed by punishing d-beat drumming and extremely harsh low-end vocals courtesy of the bands founder. This album continues to deal out their own brand of raw aggression laced with the harsh realities of life. Pissed off is an understatement... Our Price: US$2.99

Driller Killer - Fuck the World - CD
These guys are really hard to categorize. There's aspects of metal, punk, crust, hardcore, thrash and all that good stuff. I'd definitely say that thrash, punk, and metal dominate. One consistency across the board is that scent of Swedish background and influence you get from good Scandinavian bands. I would definitely say Fuck The World is very comparable to Disrupt or even Doom. Our Price: US$2.99

Driller Killer - Cold Cheap & Disconnected - CD
This is Driller Killer's sixth full length and it follows the progression that you see in their style when comparing albums not to mention the high levels of kickassitude. This album sticks with their metal infused Scandinavian hardcore sound that their known for as is expected. What really separates this album from the others is that it leans more towards that metal side. More complex fills and solos pull it further away from being thrown in with other hardcore bands. Basically, if you like other Driller Killer releases you're not going to be disappointed by any means. Our Price: US$2.99

Insuiciety - Believe And Die - CD
Link to check out a song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HRpzxSfuQ_4

Totally devastating and refreshingly original doom/sludgecore here from this Berlin outfit. These guys (and girl) definitely carve their own bloody niche in this over-saturated genre, which has something to do with the occassionally off kilter rhythms a la DAMAD or KYLESA, but probably most to do with Ajka's insane, accented vocals, making them sound like (to egregiously confuse cultures for a second) a female-Dracula-fronted EYEHATEGOD. Definitely recommended for fans of GRIEF, GRAVES AT SEA, and the aforementioned bands. Awesome cover art too. (MRR)

Pisshead Blues Band (The) - s/t - CD (Members of Misery)
Less than 35 copies left and this is sold out forever.

This is an acoustic blues project started a few years back by Jon of Misery, Matt of Civil Disobedience and Bree from Deadstate. This CD is the product of many evenings in the basement studio at the house of Misery, getting fucked up, rocking out with acoustic guitars and lamenting the bullshit life sends you. Most of the lyrics are absolutely hilarious, but they do have some more serious songs too, including a cover of Mob's No Doves Fly Here. They also mix it with occasional guest appearances by Gary from Misery and Gooch from Assrash / Cut Throat Hoods. There are a total of 24 songs here, each one unique and interesting. Profane Existence #44

Despite - No Promise of Tomorrow - LP
This disconsin band plays heavy with a gnarled style. The vocals are extremely deep and gruff. The guitars pummel and shread with an almost discordant vibration to them. The sound is thick and heavy, yet one of the guitars is higher pitched and raging over top. The extremely deep vocals lean this in a grind direction, with the thick throttled sound pushing that way too. I have managed to overlook this band for awhile, so I'm not that familiar with their past releases. This one is good, albiet a bit more grind than I usually go for, but this falls just short of the blast beat mayhem, which is good for me. They pummel the shit out of a drop tuned guitar with totally guttural vocals, while the whole pace of this throbs in a dis-beat style that also goes beyond into a thicker combo of crust-grind-punkcore dis style, and I'm into it. Another crust fist in the air band, with a super fucking heavy style. (Slug And Lettuce Zine) Our Price: US$0.99

Words That Burn - Spawning Ground For Hatred - LP
Please help us move these records. They are cheap, It kicks ass and we have a ton left.

This is some intense and vile material right here. Words that Burn play an insane mix of crust, grind, hardcore and metal with fast as hell songs, blazing riffs that stick to your brain and some seriously insane vocal trade offs mixing blood curdling growls and high pitched screams/shouts. These guys lay down some serious damage for only a three piece, that's for certain. Despite the speed on display here, Words that Burn have an extremely dense sound that gives you a claustrophobic feeling as if you're head will explode at any moment. The band focuses not only on delivering fast songs but playing them as heavy as possible for an extremely bulldozing listening experience. This effects probably due to the bludgeoning low end present here, as there is a very heavy rhythm section nailing things down on every song. The whole record kind of reminds me of what Phobia might sound like if they were a little less grind and focused...
